Foster Focus: Suzanne & Wayne Loudamy
Since December 2020, Suzanne and Wayne Loudamy have fostered over 25 animals through the SPCA of East Texas. Their journey began with Jolie, whose soulful eyes on a Facebook post “went straight to my heart,” Suzanne recalls. One of their most memorable experiences was raising Zacchaeus, a newborn puppy they couldn’t let go. “He truly became our little man,” Suzanne shares.
Their advice for new pet parents? “Patience and consistency are the two most important things you need to practice,” Suzanne says. “Show them love, be patient, and be respectful of their space.”
“Your heart will never be the same,” Suzanne adds. “Who comes out the winner in the end? You both do. That’s why God gave us pets—angels without wings.”
